Constantinos Mantalias, founder at Oner Films, is a renowned wedding cinematographer in Europe and his porfolio includes some stunning pieces of work that stand out due to his unique anthropocentric approach to video art. I know him since 2013 and besides our friendship we are colleagues too. Since 2016 we have shot a series of weddings together but sometimes the outcome of these fast but carefully taken shots can surpass the concept of a wedding event and step into the world of cinema. When you are working with ordinary people that are not actors there are many unpredictable things happening, like unique face expressions and little random details that could elevate a single shot and add a cinema flavour to a work that in normal circumstances would be quite common. One of these unique weddings took place in Poros Island, Greece this summer. Jake, Alexandria and their crazy friends & families lived quite “intense” party moments before, during and after their wedding on Poros island and thankfully we where there, holding our cameras all day to record their memories. Constantinos did a wonderful job in editiing these shots into a spicy “highlights” video that you can watch in the video section of this site.
